We use a range of equipment to capture our weddings and we find it is important that we love our equipment too as we not only learn more about what its capable of but we end up trying new things and pushing it to the limit to get the best photos. We obviously shoot on digital as the primary format for our weddings and we supplement this with our film cameras also.

As we have said before, film is a love of ours and as Jack is a bit of an obsessive collector.... we may have quite a lot of options here to choose from!
Jack shoots all of his personal photography on film cameras and absolutely loves the process from start to finish, creating an image purely by exposing film to light and then developing that film is really special.
For our weddings, we utilise the same incredible Canon glass (That Canon 85 II F1.2 L - if you know you know!!), which we absolutely love as it keeps out look consistent between film and digital. We also have a few other options for an even more unique approach such as the 1960s Olympus 35 SP rangefinder which Jack often uses for his street photography, or even the Olympus PEN EE2 Half frame camera, which gives only portrait half frame photos - very cool for that vintage vibe.
The main bodies we use for weddings are Canon EOS 7s as they give us a lot of the mod-cons we have become accustomed to, thank you autofocus! If you want to know more about our equipment or just chat to us about film, cameras and life - please do! Head over to contact us.
We utilise some of the latest (well new for us!) mirrorless cameras from Canon. We have tried numerous brands over the years and have come back to Canon primarily as they work well for us during weddings, have a great grip in the hand and we can use their incredible lenses between our digital and film bodies!
Currently we are shooting with Canon EOS R6 Cameras along with a set of primes that we have lovingly built up to capture weddings and portraits in the best possible way. Our equipment also needs to work for us outside of weddings as we take. a lot of interiors photos too such as these below - where we are very fond of a 28mm prime and of course a huge softbox!
